Welcome! My name is Kristan McDonald, a marketer, graphic designer, and photographer with a background in building garden centers and green businesses into visually engaging and memorable brands. My education at the College for Creative Studies laid the foundation for a career that has spanned over two decades, during which I've honed my skills in branding, content creation, digital marketing, and visual storytelling.

 

My passion for the green industry began in my teenage years, working at a garden center. This early experience afforded me a deep understanding of garden centers, which I've complemented over the years with growing expertise in creating strategic, clean, and impactful designs that not only elevate brands but also forge meaningful connections with their audiences.

 

I call West Michigan home, where I live with my husband, two teenagers and our dogs, Dale, a Boston Terrier, and Josie, a Rhodesian Ridgeback. My husband and I share a love for all things green, spending our free time exploring West Michigan's beauty and supporting local greenhouses and garden centers.

 

Beyond my profession, I am an avid reader and lifelong learner, constantly seeking out new stories, narratives, and techniques to broaden my horizons. This curiosity not only enriches my personal life but also invigorates my work, ensuring that every project is filled with both passion and insight.
